How to Book Reservations

We offer a variety of plans, including the full-fledged "Crafting Experience Plan," where participants create a 24cm bowl, and the introductory "Mini Crafting Experience Plan," where participants shape a smaller 15cm piece.
Challenge yourself to create a unique, original BUNACO product.

For Individual Visitors
Factory Tour

On regular business days, factory tours for individual visitors are not available as a standalone service.
The second floor, including the areas where our craftsmen work, is accessible only to participants of the hands-on workshop.
- The exhibition area on the first floor can be viewed when visiting the shop.
- If you would like to use the facility for purposes other than a factory tour, such as listening to our speakers before purchase, please contact us separately.

Open Factory Day

Approximately once a month, we hold a free factory tour day called “Open Factory Day.”
Visitors can explore the factory at their own pace, including the craftsmen’s work areas, listening room, shop, and café.
*Some areas are not accessible to visitors.

We recommend making your reservation as early as possible.

Please note that your reservation is not confirmed at the time of application.
Your reservation will be confirmed once you receive a confirmation from the factory by email or phone.
Please understand that we may not be able to accommodate your preferred date or time depending on availability, private bookings, and other circumstances.。

Reservations for the Same Day or Immediately After a Holiday

Reservations are accepted only on factory business days.
If you contact us by email or phone on a holiday, we will respond in order from the next business day.
For reservations made close to the date of your visit, we may contact you by phone to confirm whether your reservation can be accommodated. Please provide a phone number where you can be reached.
* If you have difficulty communicating by phone or do not have a phone number that can be used in Japan, please contact us by email.

"Molding experience with a small 15-cm diameter roll"

Unfinished
Molding experience with a small 15-cm diameter roll.
After the molding and gluing steps, you take it home without applying a finish to the wood.
We include an instruction sheet for the polishing and finishing process after you take it home, and a small sheet of sandpaper. *Please prepare any other tools separately.


*This item does not have a finishing coat, so you cannot put in food, etc. Please use it as a container for accessories, etc.

We offer guided factory tours with a staff member.

  • ・For visitors who do not speak Japanese, we provide assistance using translation devices, multilingual brochures, exhibition panels, and other materials.

For groups (10 or more people) who wish to attend the crafting experience, it can also be held in a rental space, etc., in Hirosaki.
Please let us know your desired day and time, number of people, and location.We will provide an estimate separately.
*Rental space fees and travel expenses for the crafting instructor are separate.

Are interpreters available?

Regrettably, as we do not have an interpreter, we can communicate in Japanese only.
We will provide guidance using handouts, videos, and translation tools.

Can I participate in a factory tour or crafting experience in a wheelchair?

Yes, please notify us when making your reservation.
Note: Please arrange for an accompanying person to assist with wheelchair movement as needed.

Is there a multi-purpose restroom?

Yes, there is a spacious, barrier-free restroom with handrails on the first floor.
However, it is not equipped for ostomy use.

Do you have parking available?

Reserved free parking for 20 to 30 vehicles.

Can I take photos or videos?

Yes, but please ensure that other visitors are not captured in your photos or videos.
Staff may provide additional guidance as necessary.

Can I visit the shop only?

Yes, the shop is open to visitors on factory business days.

How far is it to get to BUNACO Nishimeya Factory?

What do I need to bring for the crafting experience?

All tools and aprons are provided by the factory.
There is no need to bring anything special. Please wear comfortable clothing.

What is the minimum age for the crafting experience?

Children in ten years old or older can participate independently.
Children below ten years will require assistance from a guardian, as some tasks may be difficult.
Guardians must accompany their children during participation.

Is there a cancellation fee?

Yes, cancellations made 2 days prior to the reservation will incur a 50% fee, and cancellations on the day of the reservation or no-shows will incur a 100% fee.
If you are unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness or traffic issues, please contact us by phone before the scheduled time.
